This WWII-era Imperial Japanese banknote represents the late-war variant of the 50 Sen note. The observe features the Yasukuni Shrine, in Tokyo. Which was founded by Emperor Meiji in 1869, to commemorate soldiers of the Boshin War (1868-1869). The reverse depicts an illustration of a mountain range, possibly the Akaishi Mountains. The note's dimensions are: 105 × 65 mm or 4.13 x 2.56 in. (Note: Sky is red instead of the blue-gold, seen in early-war notes.)
