This Tongan banknote represents the 1st denomination of the Pa'anga (Series 2009). The observe features a portrait of King Tupou V (1959-20xx), in full regalia. The reverse depicts a leaping Humpback Whale, Tonga is known mating ground for whales. Notably Tonga is the last nation in Oceania to preserve it's native monarchy.
