This Imperial German banknote represents the 1st denomination of Goldmark (Series 1883). The observe features a beautiful illustration of Germania (symbol of Germany) with an infant. The reverse depicts the dragon Fafnir guarding a golden goblet full of treasure. Notably Fafnir was slain by the hero Siegfried, to woo the princess Brynhild. (Note Size: 160 x 105 mm or 6.30 x 4.13 in)
