This Ugandan banknote represents the 5th denomination of the New Shilling (Series 1987-98). The observe features the Ugandan Coat of Arms. The reverse depicts the clock tower building at Makerere University, in Kampala. Notably all pre-2010 New Shilling notes have been demonetized, replaced by the current series.
