This East German medal is the Outstanding Instructor Medal. It was issued to accomplished instructors of Society for Sport and Technology (GST). Which taught its youth members military talents, through sports and technical hobbies. It was issued in bronze, silver, and gold version. The observe translates to, "Outstanding Instructor GST". While the reverse features the GST's anchor, propeller, and rifle logo.
