This Kyrgyz banknote represents the 1st denomination of the Second Som Series (1994). The observe features a portrait of actor, composer, and opera singer Abdylas Maldybaev (1906-1978). Maldybaev's melodies and operatic compositions were featured in 6 Soviet state operas. The reverse features the Bishkek Philharmonic Orchestra.
