This pre-WWII Japanese banknote represents the 1st denomination of the Yen (Series 1917). The observe features a Chrysanthemum, the Imperial Seal of Japan. The reverse features Kanji, it partially translates to “Bank of Japan Note” and 10 Sen. A Single Yen was subdivided into 100 Sen. (Note Size: 87 x 54 mm or 3.42 x 2.13 in)
